THE DUCATI XEROX TEAM TO EXPERIMENT WITH LIVE STREAMING FROM THE GARAGE AT IMOLA

During the upcoming World Superbike weekend, to be held at the Italian circuit of Imola from 25th to 27th September, the Ducati Xerox Team, in collaboration with Ducati.com, will allow fans from around the world the chance to see right to the heart of the action, by providing live streaming direct from Noriyuki Haga's garage on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September.

A brand new experience, with the live and uncut footage undoubtedly spiking the interest of the countless passionate fans who are following the Superbike racing as the season comes to a thrilling climax. This is a way for the loyal fans, sponsors and Ducatisti to participate, allowing them a "fly on the wall" view of the unique, adrenalin-fuelled world of the motorcycle racer and his team.

With only three races left, and with both of the Ducati Xerox riders, Noriyuki Haga and Michel Fabrizio, in the running for the rider's title, the experiment is thus implemented for the very first time at Imola, which is of course hosting what is the "home round" for Ducati.

Never before has a motorcycle racing team initiated such a project and, if all goes to plan at Imola, the service will also be available during the final two rounds, at Magny-Cours and Portimao.

A web-cam, positioned this time in Haga's pit garage, will be activated between 14.00 and 17.00 on Saturday and between 09.00 and 17.00 on Sunday, allowing users to log on to the official Ducati site - www.ducati.com -- and watch live streaming of "Nitro-Nori" and his technical team in action during Superpole, Sunday warm-up and the all-important races.

For more information, log on to www.ducati.com from Monday 21st September. The Ducati Xerox Team awaits you at Imola!

CGH Health Foundation in the pink: Team Underwires, 2,500 others ... - Sauk Valley Daily Gazette

Posted: 21 Sep 2009 09:24 AM PDT

By JOSEPH BUSTOS jbustos@svnmail.com 800-798-4085, ext. 529

STERLING – Thanks to more than 2,500 businesses and individuals – and a group of devoted fundraisers always "Proud to Wear Pink" – CGH Health Foundation's annual campaign reached its $260,000 goal.

"We wish to extend our thanks to Team Underwires, Sandi Ivey and Tammy Campos, for their tireless efforts to raise funds for the underserved through their recent motorcycle ride," said Marty Benson, one of the campaign leaders. "Theirs is an amazing partnership to help area women."

The money will allow the foundation to pay for all of its programs, which include diabetes education, mammograms, cancer prevention, eyeglasses for children, and dental care for people with low incomes.

The foundation also has raised 90 percent of the money it needs for a breast ultrasound scanner it wants to bring to the hospital. When all the money is raised, it will be bought in memory of Dr. Surjit Hermon, CGH's chief radiologist who was killed in a racing accident a year ago.

The high-resolution ultrasound scanner will provide more accurate diagnosis and treatment of breast masses, benign and malignant. It could help more than 500 women a year, foundation officials have said.

A portion of the proceeds funds the foundation's Women's Cancer Prevention Program, which provides mammograms, diagnostic services and physician visits for underserved women in a five-county area, and the KSB Breast Cancer Prevention Project.

In last year's Team Underwires' inaugural "Proud to Wear Pink" motorcycle ride, more than 500 people raised about $63,000; this year, 579 motorcycles, 736 riders and a few automobiles traveled the 90-mile route on Aug. 29.

The goal was $75,000, but the actual amount raised is being kept under wraps until Team Underwires reveal it at an upcoming celebration for their volunteers.

It's not too late to donate
